The approximate population of the town is 19, 000. The average household income is $73, 052. The per capita income is $31, 670. The prosperity of the town is because of the presence of many large corporate houses like Cingular Wireless, Nationwide Insurance, Paychex, Compaq-Hewlett Packard and others. Rocky Hill has a good flow of labor force, co-operative town Government and it is accessible from major highways. All these factors have added to the economic development of Rocky Hill. The population of the town has disposable income at hand which is used for dining out and for other lifestyle purposes.

The town of Rocky Hill CT, has a business incentive policy which encourages entrepreneurs to set up their enterprises in the town. This policy of the town administration encourages corporate houses to set-up business in the town to generate employment among the local population.
